3 weeks’ mountain biking in the Indian Himalaya. We travelled North from the former British hill station of Manali across the Rohtang Pass (3898m) then followed the Manali-Leh road for a day, turning off at Tandi and following the Chandrabaga River Northwest up the Pangi Valley towards the Himachal Pradesh / Kashmir border. At Killar, we turned SouthWest, crossed the river and climbed Sach Pass (4450m) dropping down the other side to the regional capital, Chamba, then over one more sub-pass (2650m) to finish at Mcleaod Ganj, the home of the Dalai Lama.
